These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Council Tax Saver service (“the Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. About the Service
Council Tax Saver helps users understand and explore possible council tax discounts or reductions based on the information they provide. Information and tools provided by the Service are for general guidance only.
The Service does not provide financial, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for verifying any information with your local council or a qualified professional.
2. Eligibility Checker and Letters
The eligibility checker and generated letters are based on the answers you submit. Accuracy depends on your input. We cannot guarantee that any council will accept a request, grant a discount, or make a change to your council tax.
3. Pro Features
Paid plans (including Essential, Pro Assistant, and Landlord tools) provide additional features such as downloadable letters, email templates, follow-up tools, and portfolio management.
All subscription fees are non-refundable unless required by law or explicitly stated.
4. No Legal Responsibility
While we aim for accuracy, we do not guarantee that information in the Service is complete, correct, or up-to-date. Council tax rules vary by location and may change at any time.
You agree that you use the Service at your own risk. We accept no liability for:
- Denied discounts or appeals
- Council decisions or delays
- Financial loss or penalties
- Errors in your submitted information
- Any outcomes of using generated letters or templates
5. Your Responsibilities
You agree that you will not:
- Use the Service for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
- Misrepresent information submitted to your council
- Share your paid account or attempt to bypass paywalls
6. Privacy & Data
We store minimal information. Your letter content, notes, and request trackers are saved locally on your device. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
7. Payments
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details. By upgrading, you authorise us to charge the specified amount for your chosen plan.
8. Service Availability
We aim for uninterrupted uptime, but we do not guarantee the Service will always be available. We may change, pause, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time.
